Do we benefit if Tennessee makes the championship game?

I thought last year was a travesty....UGA a 2 time champion lost a close game and didnt get in the playoffs..if they had...i 100% think they beat Michigan by 3 TDs...the committee has a some B10 bias....even with the 12 team format it hasnt really cleared up the fundemental flaws in the CFP selection process

Here's a strange scenario. If Missouri loses their remaining two games (Miss St. and Arkansas) and Texas beats Texas A&M then Georgia would get into the SECCG since Missouri losses would hurt our SOS. It's unlikely Missouri loses both but just shows how complicated the tiebreakers are.

A change I'd like to see: If you're conference champs in the SEC, ACC, Big 12 or B1G, you have an automatic spot in the 12, but NOT an automatic Top 4 seed and a bye. The Big 12 having an automatic top 4 spot is ridiculous. Same for the ACC, though to a lesser degree of ridiculousness.

Also, we have to find a way to address situations where a given team is in the Top 12 going into its CCG, but loses, and another team who didn't play in its CCG takes their spot in the playoff.

Honestly, I'd like to see the old BCS formula determine the Top 12 seeds and tee the tournament up from there.

The difference I'd have from the old BCS is transparency into the computer algorithms.

I understand the developers' desire to keep that proprietary. So the new role of the committee would be to bless the computer logic. Have them sign an NDA, evaluate the logic, and for algorithms that pass muster, include them in the computer part of the BCS.

Disagree that anyone should get an autobid.

Also, slight correction - the four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded 1-4 and each will receive a first-round bye. No guarantee that the B12 is one of them. It's likely, but not guaranteed.

Another strange scenario, if Texas loses to Kentucky and then beats the Aggies, or the Aggies lose to Auburn and then beats Texas, then Georgia will be in CG.

Apparently, ESPN, the officials and the SEC office conspired to rob the arnge yesterday.

Had to look him up, but in case the article below doesn't tell you, Zach Ragan is a UTe homer:

What is with these idiots not know that grabbing the helmet and twisting the guys head is still a penalty? I guess they are not smart enough to comprehend it because the refs call it a "facemask"?

Plus it was only 55 not 25 or even 35. That is not cold. I have heated seats in my car and my car doesn't even suggest to turn them on unless it is 37 or lower. Good grief there are some wuss players and fans out there.

even brian kelly, who killed a kid, gets confused by facemask penalties, so it's understandable

considering they are a fan base that is simultaneously amazed and confused everyday when the sun rises again, it can't be that hard to get them to believe that herbie and fowler are somehow impacting the outcome of the game by their "unfair" commentary

I had to look; I knew there was a lot of crying from UT. The person who posted article doesn't know some of the rules. Several plays were correct that this person claimed were wrong.

And, of course, the person failed to show incorrect calls or no-calls that went in UT's favor...

I don't think the Georgia quarterback moving backwards was a false start. It was not quick or abrupt movement and all other players were set. I think he was technically a legal player in motion.
As long as no one else is moving it's perfectly legal - as you said, he's a player in motion. He just cannot move towards the LOS.

Shocking that tennessee hillbillies don't understand the rules...

I can't stand Georgia or Tennessee but had to pull for the one that would have helped Bama get to the playoff had they won. Tennessee now made it so Bama has to win the SEC to make the playoff. They are not putting a 3 loss Bama team in the playoff this year.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
TN will now be lucky to make the CFP.

Kind of a shame, I'd love another shot at those orange hillbillies.
Their fanbase makes me sick, they truly do. I'd forgotten how idiotic they were for 15 years since we beat their heads in and they just stayed inside their trailers peeping out every now and then. But in the last three years, they've come out trash-talking and pimping around like they've been upgraded to a mansion.
