Do you ever root for auburn?

As I see it, there are 3 groups of Alabama fans when it comes to this question.

1. auburn is still a state school so I root for them when they are not playing Alabama
2. I only root for auburn when they play tennessee
3. I NEVER root for auburn and when they play tennessee, I want the stadium to implode.

I NEVER root for Auburn and when they play Tennessee, I want the stadium to implode.

In the 50's and 60's there used to be a lot of respect for Tennessee a good friendly rivalry. Not any more.

For Awbun there has only been contempt and disdain for this bunch on wannabees.

Now there is intense dislike for both.

I make only one exception to my "Never Cheer for Auburn" rule, and that is in bowl season. I want the SEC to wipe the floor with every other conference. That is the only time I ever want to see Auburn get a W. I didn't have to worry about that this past season though did I? :biggrin:

I can't say never. I remember rooting for Auburn over #1 Florida in 2001, and I would root for Auburn if it helps Alabama win the West.

When I lived in Tuscaloosa my most hated team was Auburn. Now that I live in Tennessee I hate them more so I have to pull for Auburn just to shut the Vol fans up.

Because of the BCS Computer Ratings it is now to our benefit if Auburn has an outstanding record going into the Iron Bowl.

Therefore I have no choice but to pull for them until we play them. Not because I want to but because I have to.

But I also root for them in circumstances where they aren't necessarily in the hunt and they can prevent a rival like LSU (who I only recently begun to dislike due to Miles' immature attempts to call us out) or Tennessee from getting to a championship

I don't care about BCS strength of schedule.
I want Auburn to be 0-11 when we play them and then 0-12 every year.

When they play UT I'd like the stadium to implode. If that won't happen I'll root for the Vols over the Aubs.

I root for them to be the first team eliminated in every sporting event into which they inject themselves.
