Do you ever root for Auburn?

That's a toughie..

Back before being exposed to so many Auburn fans both online and off, I would pull for them to win bowls, titles etc, when Alabama wasn't involved. Now, the satisfaction I feel anytime Auburn loses is shameful, lol.

Auburn v Tenn... I just wish they could BOTH lose! But don't mind seeing Auburn beat Tenn because they are, afterall, from Alabama..just misguided. :)

Yeah, I root for them......I root for them to get the death penalty.:mad::mad:

BTW CapitalCrimson, you have a grammatical mistake in your original post, you spelled auburn with a capital A.

I would pull for Auburn if they were playing say Satan's minions. Otherwise, I would rather see them lose every game from now until the earths ceases to exist.

If it helps us in any way.
If they're playing ND or the U, not that either is relevant right now.
Maybe if they played Ohio State, just for the SEC props. Maybe.

There was a time where I pulled for Auburn when they weren't playing Bama, specifically when Pat Dye was the coach. I know he did some slimy things while at the barn, but he will always be a protege of Bryant, and in the end the Bear still thought of Dye as one of his boys, a feeling which Dye reciprocated.

I started really hating the barn when Tubby started sticking his fingers in the air. Those barners became truly insufferable, which is why 36-0 made my dreams come true last Nov. Now there is no way and no how that I will EVER pull for the barn. NEVER EVER EVER!!!!!

I'll root for Auburn when:

Pigs fly
Hell freezes over
The Pope becomes Jewish
Jimmy Hoffa is found alive
Elvis is back at Graceland
Cancer is cured
Tiger becomes a homeless person
The federal deficit is reduced to $1.00
I find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
Loch Ness and Big Foot are legally married

There was a girl at the SanDestin resort that would have made me think about it...she was an Auburn Grad. I'd seriously consider pulling for them at least 11 games a year if I had too...and I can't stand auburn. Since that didn't happen....nope. Not really.

whew...mm

Not lately! This is not a simple question to answer. It depends on who they are playing (Big 10, PAC 10 or some upstart like Utah). But I will say this, it is a lot easier to pull for Aubie when we are beating them more than they are beating us. OK, that is my PC answer.

Now, for the real world. Last season, when Aubie played West Virginia, I was rooting for Aubie because of all the obvious reasons. But then the Goobers got off to a 10-0 lead.....and I found that I just couldn't do it. So, I found myself wanting W. VA. to beat them 100-10.

I try to... I even used to "sort of" at times... It doesn't work. Though I'd like every team in the SEC to represent well, it wouldn't bother me one bit if the barn lost every game every year. Um, I guess I *could* root for them against Florida next year (provided they lost every other game- wait a sec, that can't happen next year so I guess my answer is still no).
