Link: Don Shula passes

Not necessarily Bama specific, but his son was one of our coaches, and Namath beat him in Super Bowl III

This is True but he is still the only NFL coach to go undefeated during the coarse of a season. Go Dolphins! 1972 17-0!

The Dolphins did well with Bama players from Coach Bryants teams. Pretty rare air if you ask me.

Bob Baumhower, Tony Nathan and Dwight Stephenson spent six seasons as teammates on the Dolphins, and they're reunited on the 50th anniversary team. The trio played on the Miami teams that won AFC championships in the 1982 and 1984 seasons before falling in the Super Bowl. Now, they've been included among the 50 best players in the franchise's history.

I was a big fan of Don Shula.
Back in the day they played winning football, and a lot of Alabama Players helped him do it.
He will be missed.

RIP, Don Shula.

One of the NFL coaching greats. Pro HOF, most games coached, most games won.
