With Schrieber leaving, Brown would at the very worst be the #2 WLB behind a SR (Zeke). He could take the SLB if Fanney doesn't step up next year. I'm surprised we don't have more top notch S looking at us, unless CNS plans to move Barron to S and has a lot of confidence in the development of Ali, Woodall, and Farmer.
EDIT:

Sophomore linebacker Zach Schreiber (6-foot-1, 212 pounds) has been released from his scholarship and is expected to transfer to Louisiana Tech. The Shreveport native was junior Ezekial Knight’s backup at the strong-side position and played in Saturday’s game against Western Carolina.
“Zach is a fine young man who worked extremely hard,†Saban said in a release. “He wanted to go to school closer to home, so we granted him his release.â€Â
