Early line for Alabama vs. Tennessee?

There were two previous threads on here about the line; however, they both seem to have disappeared. Anyway, one showed the game as a "pick." The other showed Bama -1.

In my infinite football wisdom, I would call it a pick.

Maybe this thread will make it. Sometimes, as they say, "Three's a charm."

I don't gamble, what does a pick mean? That it could go either way? And Bama -1 does that mean Bama is favored to lose by 1 point? Sorry for the stupid question, just never really understood the point spread thing. Now I understand if it's said that Bama will win by 7 but the - / + confuses me. Thanks

I will answer your question as best I can. If im not mistaken I believe a pick is the same as a toss-up and Bama at -1 means that the line is Bama being a 1 point favorite.

No way that State loses by 23 to WVU. Take State on that one. As for UF/UK, I like the Cats to do it again. I rarely take a team the next week after a huge upset, but UK didn't do anything that they don't do week in and week out. Sad thing is, they could WIN OUT, and still not make it to Atlanta because they lost to S. Carolina, who looks very good right now.
