How do we whiff on this guy and of all places to Mizzou? Seriously someone explain.
Playing time. If I'm a Missouri recruiter I use our lack of success as a recruiting tool to help get the kid and Alabama's success against them. I point to Alabama's depth chart (regardless of how accurate it is or not) and then point to ours and ask the kid "How soon do you think you're going to touch the field at Alabama?"

Absolutely. I think the chances of other programs NOT using that against us are slim and none. And Slim just left town. Hell, I would!

Negative recruiting is nothing more than a form of a gentleman's agreement aka "unwritten rule". There's no rules against it. I remember when Urban Meyer first went to Ohio St he ruffled all the other coaches' feathers because he didn't give jack diddley squat about their gentleman agreements. He was there to recruit, not be cordial.

Yeah, the B1G has all kinds of gentlemen's agreements around just about everything, and Meyer ended most of that. For the most part, he made the B1G better. We were two-faced about too many things. He and Harbaugh brought the cut throat side of the business onto the front page in the Midwest.

Didn't he openly/blatantly p*** off Harbaugh, get called out and pretty much laugh about it. I am/was not a CUM fan, but that was a full on Vince McMahon pimp strut into the center ring of the B1G...🤣

Edit: It was something about offering previously committed recruits I think... 🤷‍♂️
