Well, I do agree that the hogs can certainly win this game. But, I think our D will make it very hard for them. I feel we will be up for this game as well. At the end of the day, I still see our Tide coming out a winner. If you look at last year, we had issues we don't have this year. I think we are better than last year. So, if we are better and hogs are better, I think we still have the edge. Anything can happen, but not this year. Roll Tide!

I dont think your qb is better this year (yet) but everything else seems to be. Your qb might pan out but right now he is largely unproven. He will certainly get a chance to prove himself Saturday.

We all know it will be Bama's D against the Hogs O. Question will be whether Wilson hears footsteps early in the game and if he is completely over the concussion like symptoms. One hard hit may spell disaster. I'm fairly certain both coaches are going to try to get the QB into a rythm quickly, if they aren't, I'll take our D over Arky's. I think it will be back and forth for the first quarter or two, then I think we will take control. You never know but at BDS with that D and 101000 fans, I like our odds. Should be a great game, I'll admit, I'm concerned. Good luck on Saturday.

I hope there are no injuries but if Wilson goes down, Brandon Mitchell is great, too. He's gathered a lot of game experience already, albeit not in a hostile place like BDS. He's a dual threat and you might see some of him Saturday anyway. Here's to a great injury free game! I actually had a couple of tickets to the game (offered up by a Bama fan) but unfortunately I can't make the trip. I think this one may go down to the wire. Again.

This is what I am looking forward to most about this game. I think we can win with A.J. having a lackluster game as long as he does not make huge turnover mistakes. However, I want to see if he can have a good to great game against tough competition. I don't think you guys have the best secondary ever, but they appear to be a lot better than what A.J. has faced so far.

Looking forward to having a pork cuisine extravaganza day (bacon included) regardless. :smile:

while I like the sound of 4 in a row over Petrino, the sound of 5 in a row over Arkansas is much better!! :wink:

In my mind I think the key number will be 24. If we hold the to that or under our chances of winning greatly improve. I'm not sold on our ability to put more than 24 or so on a real defense. If we can't score that then we're in for a stressful day.

Yeah, I think the new QB thing is a wash. Yes, Wilson got a little more meaningful playing time last year against AU, but both are getting broken in against a real defense for the first time this weekend. I think it should be a great game, and I am glad we get to play it in Bryant-Denny. Good luck to you, Baconator.

Again,, (I know you didn't specifically mention it) but our qb play is such a question mark,,, but you guys are just plug and play to 3rd string right??

Just cause you have seen your qb get some snaps,,,, it is not the same as lining up against our D,,
For some reason i feel better about our guy making pre-snap reads against a Bobby P defense than I feel you should about your guys making them against a Saban-Smart D...
And I think about 99.9% of college and pro coaches would agree...

I still don't get the thinking we have less qb experience thing... I know Wilson played against AU,, but a mile of defense given up so far this year makes that not so impressive....

You have to remember that we practice against a pretty good D with a couple of coaches that aren't half bad in running a defense. I am not really worried about AJ in this game. He handled his first major test at Penn State very well.
