ESPN Game Day Coverage - Alabama Exposed

Just goes to show they enjoy the controversy. Corso is smart enough to realize that scoring 62 on USC doesn't mean as much as it did 5 or 6 years ago. Plus he completely ignored the fact that USC scored 51 on Oregon. Corso may be old and losing his touch, but he knows what he said is ludicrous.

I loved the look on Kirk's face when Corso was back peddling and trying to justify himself.

I saw that but don't remember his exact words. Did he say least talented, or worst?

If he said worst I'd disagree, if he said least talented, I might agree. 2010 didn't perform as well as I had hoped, but they were probably more talented overall.

He said it's our least talented defense in the past four years. I tend to agree with him, but that's kinda like saying Tiger Woods isn't as good as he used to be, meanwhile, he still won three PGA Tour events this year. Our worst defense in the past four years is still arguably the best this year.

Pollack's true colors have come out the last few weeks. I used to like his commentary, but it looks like he's joined the ranks of the haters. Let 'em hate. Makes the wins that much sweeter.

I think that would mainly be because it looks to be Bama vs Georgia in the SECCG this year. I'm sure he still feels the sting from 2008.

That's not all what Pollack was saying. He was saying we have the least talented defense in 4, and it wasn't as good as last years, but he wasn't bashing us.

People doubting us is good for the team. I'd much rather them be saying we got exposed and need to watch the upset against TAMU, than for them to be saying we can beat NFL teams...

Haha yeah I agree. I like Corso but you could see he was really reaching there, especially when they brought up the 58 points that Oregon gave up.

According to Game Day's logic, the Pac-12, Big 12 and ACC get exposed every week. Teams from those conferences give up 350+ yards a week. Alabama gives up over 400 one time and suddenly they've been "exposed."

The one question I would like to ask the "experts"...
Could Oregon, ND, or KSU have gone to Baton Rouge Saturday night and walked away with a victory?

I love how because we had one close game, against a very good opponent (and still won), we are no longer the best team in the nation. Notre Dame has struggled versus EVERY team they have played, yet Corso ranks them above us? Give me a break. Hopefully we have a dominant performance today that puts all this nonsense to rest.

Thanks for the clarification, I agree.

these guys haven't been paying attention. we were really exposed last year vx. georgia southern. we have just been coasting against inadequate competition since ;)

We've got 4 or 5 guys rated best at position in some NFL draft rankings I've seen, so don't know about the talent thing.

That 2010 defense had Hightower, Upshaw, Kirkpatrick, Dareus, Menzie, Chapman, Barron.... plus a lot of guys who are still on this years team like Moseley, Nico, Milliner, Square, Fulton, & Lester.

That 2010 team was stacked. They just didn't quite perform as well as expected.

It is kind of sad we didn't do better, we also had Trent, Mark, Julio and Greg a second year starter.

There are a lot of things unique about our game against LSU. Firstly, LSU had our game circled all year and had practiced the last 20 minutes of practice everyday preparing for Alabama. Secondly, Mettenburger played the game of his life. Thirdly, LSU 's physical play and depth will not be matched by anyone else on the schedule. Fourthly, AJ played the worst game of his career last week for most of the game. Fifthly, it was in a very hostile environment that will not be matched again this season.

Remember, in College football you are judged mostly by what you did last week. A dominating effort today and everyone is talking about how great Alabama is again.

Haha! That makes total sense. One week ago the media is debating whether or not Bama could beat an NFL team, now the pendulum has swung and the media saying that Bama is weak on defense. This shouldn't surprise us. Every team is beatable every week especially in the SEC on the road against the team that you totally embarrassed in the natty.
