Facts about Tennessee's "Tradition"

The tune is "Annie Lisle," a ballad from 1857 about a young girl slowly dying (the presumption is consumption). In 1870, Cornell students adopted the tune for their Alma Mater "Far Above Cayuga's Waters." I don't know what % it is of HS and colleges' Alma Maters, countrywide, but it's very high...
I know my high school in Talladega used the same one.

It always brings back memories when I'm in the stands and it's being played. Really strange part is I can still remember a lot of the words to it, but have trouble remembering what I did last week. :biggrin:
