My vote goes to Terrence Jones. When he was in he played like a seasoned vetran. I can't wait to see what he can do as a full time starter. Being behind DeMeco for 3 years hasn't allowed him to blossom into the All-SEC caliber guy he can be.

What about you guys?

Uab...

I think you are correct. Bino is already flexing his leadership muscle - crawling butts of those dogging it in mat drills, says he's not going to play with a bunch of "softies."

I'd like...

to see Slim move to safety. He has that head-hunter mentality. Also, he continues to lag behind on maintaining position, and, until he corrects that, he'll never be a close-down corner. A corner who continually ball-hawks gets burned on position - just a question of time...

Favorite returning defender?

J P Adams. He started as a walkon and earned a scholarship by slugging it out in the trenches on the d-line. A lot of respect from here for anyone who walks on and even more if it is one of the line positions.

Perhaps not the most talented . . The question was based on "favorite."

Gilberry!!!!!!!!!

We all know that our defense will the GREAT this season. When Gilberry and Simpson are on the field everything seems to happen. I really love these two, 1 for obvious reasons, but the entire defense gets my vote...... Roll tide.

I love Wallace Gilberry and he is going to be awesome in years to come, but I have to go with Juwan Simpson. He is going to be a leader this year and as a LB will be making plays all over the field. Also, I loved the story this past year (don't have a link), where he went to a kid's b-day party and played football with a bunch of eight year olds. I think the parents said he was having more fun than they were. Awesome to hear these kinds of great stories told about our Tide players.
