I am coming down for Auburn game, this will be my first time to BDS. I have not booked a hotel. Most of the hotels available are 3 miles away from BDS. Can I get a taxi to the game? How hard will it be for me to find parking? Sorry any advice would help! Thanks!

Park downtown at the intermodal. The bus is free to carry to and from the stadium and the parking is free there. Get there fairly early if you want a place to park though. There are plenty of good restaurants downtown as well. I am surprised you can find a vacancy for the Auburn game. You can also park at Central High school which is pretty close. 20 to park there I think. Do not park on the east side of campus as they will funnel you toward McFarland Blvd and you want to stay away from there at all cost. Take the 359 Bypass if at all possible.

A big AMEN to that last part about McFarland Boulevard. Long story short, you can get into Tuscaloosa on game day a whole lot easier than you can get out. Has to do with lane setups and left vs. right turns. Just believe me... you do NOT want to leave on McFarland headed south. Shoot, I avoid it on non-game days.

Just a suggestion about lodging. You'll have some trouble getting nice accommodations, and you'll pay through the nose (highest rates of the year), with a two or three night minimum. Birmingham might be easier and nicer all around, and less expensive. It's about an hour from Tuscaloosa if you leave early, and you'll probably want to do that anyway to have the whole game day experience.
