From an *U fan on another board I frequent...

FAU, previously ranked the 120 of 120 FBS offenses, gained 20 first downs (to our 16!) and 307 yards. If their QB didn't hit Auburn defenders with three horrible INTs they absolutely could've won this game.

Yep, Auburn gave up more yards to FAU than we gave up to Arkansas. Thanksgiving can't get here fast enough.

Looking back, it's a miracle they won their first 2 games.... the train is definately off the tracks...too bad we can't play them next week and end their misery...

Seems to be some speculation something is amiss with Dyar...he seems to be in the "dog house" for something & some barn fans were asking questions. Couple of posters responding said that they'd heard some things that could be attributed to it. Others were begging for the thread to be deleted...

I politely ask any mod to PM me and explain why this is an off limits topic. We would be happy to shut up for a good reason, but keeping us in the dark hurts everybody.

This team is poorly coached from Chizik all the way down. I don't know if last years success went to the coach's and player's heads but this team is fundamentally one of the worst teams I have ever seen.We have a few players like Dyer, Blake, and Parkey that are bright spots but beyond them, this team is just awful. It appears, to me anyway, that we are lacking in talent. Considering the success we have had in recruiting the past couple of years I would say that indicates a problem with the way these guys are coached.

I think we are re-living the Doug Barfield years before our eyes.

No, we were much better under Barfield. We would have flashes of brilliance but then lose the important games. Here I'm hardly ever seeing any flashes of brilliance.

Forget our defensive woes: tonight our offense can't even move downfield against FAU.

Considering they got pounded like they did by LSU, and had to go to OT to beat La Tech, I think they're actually way worse than "no where near as good as all the hype". However, I do believe *U played with confidence until last week. They played like team with a lack of confidence this week. I think October is going to be a bad month to be a boog. I'd be surprised if they won 1 game during that stretch.

Congrats to Auburn on helping FAU realize their potential.

You notice the announce left out one word---elite. IMO, it's Bama/LSU and the rest in terms of level of defense in the SEC. With perhaps Florida the better than the rest but not as good as Bama/LSU level.

AJ, you have hit the nail on the head. I haven't decided yet, but I am thinking AU may go to Columbia and upset the Shamecocks. I certainly hope I am wrong, but the Shamecocks are playing at a highly dysfunctional level and the boogs might just pull the upset!

They might win one - Ole Miss on Oct 29 - maybe. Otherwise, @ USCe, UF, @ LSU & @ Arky should all be losses for the barn.
