Florida hires Louisiana's Billy Napier as new Head Football Coach (11/28/2021) ***EDIT: and fired on 10/19/2025***

I still think his play calling is awful. And that factor alone may ultimately be his downfall....

So Billy is calling the plays? Does he not have an OC?

LSU was sacked SEVEN times last Saturday......after only giving up 6 in their previous 9 games this year.

Florida's D-Line and O-Line has improved considerably. I look forward to competing against Ole Miss this coming Saturday!

But, that's what it takes. Just like Bowden said, "We all pretty much know the same X's and 0's. It's all about the Jimmy's and Joe's.

Players matter. Nick said a million times in his career (he said it again Saturday on Gameday) that he couldn't coach bad players to play better. But he could coach good players to play better. He basically was giving all of his coaching credit to the level of talent his players had, which is 100% correct.

Thank you! I still think he needs an offensive coordinator - or someone to help with play calling.

No idea if possible - just a thought.....

That said....we'll see what happens now that Lags is the starting QB. Maybe that will make a difference in what I've/we've seen in the past.

That kid is a special player. I'm glad UF is having success. The SEC is better when Florida is in the mix.

I didn't ever seriously believe Napier was gone after this year. Not unless they went winless in SEC play or something. The (very likely) win over Florida State will also be a plus in his favor, even with FSU being dreadful right now

Gator fans got two pieces of good news today....

Caleb Banks will be back for his Sr Year and Elijah Badger will play in the Bowl Game.

Badger is a transfer Sr that wants to play in his last college game.

Banks is passing on the NFL where he is projected to be a mid-round draft pick!
