Flyovers for games???

I guess there is no way of finding out if there is gonna be one???
I sure am hoping there is!!!

This lists those to be done by the Navy.

I haven't been able to find a similar one for the Air Force, but nearly all of ours are done by F/A-18s.

On the topic of the best flyovers, while the Ole Miss one was a VERY good flyover, the best I've ever been in was the 2005 LSU game.

But... this one? this is just plain crazy. This guy seems to dip an F-18 INTO the bowl of the stadium!!

I was there for the flyover against lsu in '05...man, that thing was AWESOME!

That flyover was done by the Alabama National Guard unit in Birmingham. The tanker and 2 jets were awesome - we sit in U3 and I'd swear the tanker was eye level with us! And the tanker had "Roll Tide" on the bottom wings. Those men are good!

A belated congratulations on the new baby - she is precious. :BigA:

Usually flyovers are for special games. The Tulane game was our first home game. Since they did one for the Ole Miss game, I would expect them to do one for Mississippi State, but if not, there should be one at Auburn. Its a big game.

I've noticed that the pilots who do the flyovers are sometimes honored on the field in between quarters or during timeouts, so that's probably a cool perk.

I have a friend who lives very near the Air Force Academy in Co. Springs; rides his bike to home games (which is pretty cool in & of itself!). He says they have the most awesome flyovers, which of course one would expect there. Recently, they had 3 fighter planes flyover in sequence, only when each one was approximately over the stadium they turned vertical & kicked the afterburners going straight up out of sight. Now there's a flyover to remember!! (BTW, I love the flyovers @ BDS. Was at the Iron Bowl in 06 w/ the choppers.)

This may be it:

As far as the Alabama flyovers go, I've been at both the 2005 LSU game and this year's Ole Miss game--the '05 one was the most intense in my opinion (yet, I had been imbibing a bit more before that game).
