So, those in the know, what to think of this - Good or Bad?

He evidently was offered to stay at Ole Miss to coach DL and be assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator rather than going to the Giants. Nothing is official yet on the Bama front as far as I have heard.

Also, I'm reading this as a move due to lack of recruiting production from Baker. He signed some good players at Mississippi State such as Abram and Sweat early in his tenure there. 247 Sports says he has 2 commits for Alabama this year but their system is not displaying them when I click for the details. Upon reviewing the commit list, I did not see his name listed as a primary or secondary recruiter for a single player. So if he's earned two commits, I can only deduce by the information available that they ended up being two of our decommits.

That's just not going to cut it here. Especially when DL is a position where we not only desperately need better coaching but also more highly productive signees.

Wow! I didn't even think about that. Good catch.
