The Fresno St Qb is scheduled to be on Roundtable at 12:20pm today. It'll be interesting to see what he has to say about his old coach and our new OC CJM.

For those of you outside the listening area of B'ham you can listen to the live stream at following:

Basically said that CJM is a great coach and that Alabama's QB will be succesful under him. He went on to say that it took him a while to just learn to shut up and listen to the way Coach wanted it done. He said that CJM would give him set parameters on plays and that was the way it was going to be run and if he did not run it exactly that way he was getting yelled at. He went on to elaborate that if they were in 2 TE set or 4 wide and the defense was in Cover 2 he would work the right side of the field and if they were in a Cover 3 he would work the left side. He said that after he started listening he had more success than he has ever had.
He also mentioned that CJM was great at schemes and has tremendous ability to change/adjust during the game. He said CJM thought of it as a chess match and he thrived on it.

Fresno State opens up at Rutgers, I hope they blow them out. RU needs a reality check really bad.

A reality check? I think they are well aware of their reality. They reside in one of the most talented regions of the country, have a great coach, and are finally having great recruiting success. I think their reality check involves realizing that they are going to be on top of the Big East for quite sometime.

Fresno represent! Woot woot! Since moving out of state, I have become a slight Bulldog fan but only because I like Pat Hill and his attitude and his teams always always play hard.

I hope CJM doesn't get too overwhelmed when we play Tulane for our home opener and hears the crowd noise that we can produce.

Of all of the news since Feb 5th, this makes me the happiest. That's been our biggest weakness, our inability to adjust. The D started being able to adjust last year and now, finally, our O should be able to as well.

When did the Northeast become one of the most talent rich areas of the country? Rutgers recruits heavily in Florida.

I have liked Fresno St. since visiting the campus in '84 or ''85..................good lord at the Latina honeys bustin' out everywhere. Didn't realize that they had a football team until a few years ago.

I see signs everyday on I-95 North headed to Ft. Lauderdale for Rutgers.

So now they're a Atlantic Seaboard recruiting power. :D I can't get out of the frame of mind from when I was finishing up grad law school at NYU and how we regarded RU. Of course, that year, the NYU BB team, the "Raging Violets," were Big East champs... :D

The Population of Alabama 4,599,030 as of 2006.:BigA:

The Population of New Jersey 8,824,560 as of 2006.

The population of New York is off the chart but only a top 10. Talent Rich?

New Jersey has almost twice the population of Alabama but not in football talent. I just do not see the hot bed of talent.:BigA:

Schiano was the DC at Miami for a few years, he still has some ties down there.

I was thinking the same thing about NJ/NY. For basketball, maybe. For football, not quite.

I have heard/read numerous stories on an area of New Jersey that has consistently produced quality talent. Of course, there is no comparison between Florida and New Jersey. However, when you compare New Jersey to the other Big East states (exception of Florida and Penn.), they are pulling in some decent talent. That being said, I still think South Florida will start to control the Big East.

Pat hill remins me of my dad back in the early 90's HAHA!!! Porn Stache!

I really don't understand how Florida got into the conversation at all.... It is a widely known fact that talent has been leaking out of New Jersey to Penn State, ND, Florida teams and everywhere else in the country for years. All Schiano has to do to have a successful team is to keep the talent in state, which he is doing at the moment. New Jersey may never have the talent of Alabama, Florida, Texas or Cali but they are not a region to be ignored. I remember we got a pretty stellar quarterback from that region back in the late 50's... what was his name again? Joe something...

Joe Namath was from Pennsylvania...which isn't in New Jersey.

Who was it who said that Pennsylvania is Pittsburgh on one end, Philadelphia on the other, and, in between, you have Alabama.... :D
