I was talking to my workout partner Buddy Singleton in the gym this morning.

Buddy coached Kevin Norwood in High School at D'Iberville High School(North Biloxi), here on the coast.

He said Kevin paid him a visit last week and was sporting(wearing) his National Championship ring from the BCS, the National Championship ring given to the players by UA, and his SEC Championship ring.

Two on one hand and one on the other.

Coach poked at him, laughed, and said "Son you look like you're wearing metal gloves".

Said Kevin just grinned and said..."Hey Coach, i'm proud of 'em"

As he should be! I bet that was indeed a sight though. Those rings aren't exactly little...lol...

Reporting live from the coast... :)

Good for him! How refreshing!

Remember a few years ago when some players sold their rings on Ebay or something? I think it might have been one of the SEC schools having players trying to sell their SECCG rings...

Not our guys!!

Off topic, I know, but I did see a 1998 tn championship ring on ebay yesterday. What a bunch of losers.

Just think of all the players that have represented the Lee County Stump Humpers since 1957 with no bling.....none legit anyway. :biggrin2:

I'd look for him to be in the rotation this year. Seems he was bunged up last year with aggravating "little" injuries that just kept him from seeing significant playing time.
He can be an outstanding receiver for us.

John Michael Boswell brought his rings in a week ago to the pharmacy I work at and showed them to us. They are really nice. If you've seen pictures of them, they don't do them justice. They are amazing to see.

I made a legitimate offer, but they declined it... can't say I didn't try! :biggrin2:

Also I wouldn't be too hard on other teams players selling off rings. Times, they are tough all over! After the newness wears off and someone needs money it won't be that hard of a decision. After all, it seems I remember Namath's Super Bowl ring ending up in a pawn shop!
