I noticed a little push back from Gary, though. Something he never did for us.

Because Gary is more inconsistent and incompetent than many want to admit. Everyone who is wowed about him occasionally predicting a play won’t ever admit how many times he is more wrong about calls and how him obsessing over plays takes away from the game. Really the people who are over the moon about Gary are the ones who are hooked on the CBS jingle. It really is about nostalgia and comfort. He is an average commentator
