I'm still confused about PPV on Direct tv in south Florida. The game is listed for an ESPN Gameplan broadcast which is blacked out here, as far as I know. But is that the same channel a PPV broadcast would be on as well?
I'll have to see that to believe it. When I ordered it from CC here in HSV, the girl said "yes," when I asked if it were in low def. However, she was so green, she had to put me on hold to complete my order. Worse yet, she was a barn fan, but better than most. She said that she pulled for us unless we were playing AU. That's pretty rare...
I stand corrected. Yesterday (on direct tv web site) the game was to be on 786 now it is on ch. 790. :BigA:
Thanks, I talked to DirecTV a bit ago. It will be on 786 in Alabama, 790 the ESPN gameplan broadcast will be blacked out. Check on channel 786 about an hour before gametime and it should show up or so they say...
Thanks. Yes I just checked the guide on my TV and now it shows Pitt/ Buffalo. Just 10 min. ago 790 showed the bama game to be on. Confusion

Emailed espn 360 yesterday and the reply was "sorry, 360 is blacked out in Alabama.". :frown:
Didn't ask.But if I was guessing I would say no, but you can email them and find out. Only took them about 2hrs. to respond to my email.
$24.00? WOW!! I ordered the game at around 5:30 yesterday from comcast. I clicked the BUY button; and it took me directly to the receipt page. The price: $135.00!! I'm serious. In addition to the shock value, the box didn't let me see the price until AFTER I ordered the game. If I had waited until kickoff to order, I would have been charged $135.00 on the spot. Luckily, I ordered early, so I was able to pull it back up on the menu and cancel the BUY". I listened on the radio and watched the first half last night. Watching the second half in a few minutes on ESPN360.
P.S.
After the first half, I was glad I hadn't ordered the PPV, because I'm sure my television set wouldn't have made it through the half unscathed. :frown:
I watched the game with my Dad in the mobile area. He ordered it from dish network and we missed most of the first quarter and some of the second.I thought the old man was gonna stroke out and the screen showed a message saying "technical difficulties , thanks for your patience". I use direct tv and never have that problem,but this happens to my Dad at least once a year. I'm gonna call tommorow and try to squeeze a discount out of the crooks.Anyone else have this problem in the mobile area?
