Gay couple asked to reverse shirt at Dollywood

i heard that it was wearing anything by abercrombie and fitch. i also heard watching ultimate fighting was a signal as well, but im more skeptical about that one.

I heard that dog whistles were phallic symbols, but only when blown by Somalian straw men.

Come to think of it, they were wearing pearls. Clutched ones.

I don't have an opinion on whether she should or should not have been asked to reverse her shirt. They were simply asked to do so to conform with park policy, and they complied. No problem. If two women want to be together as a couple that's their business. I really don't care. Now I'm not meaning to offend anyone, but I have a question which the picture (above) brings to light. My question is that if both women are so proud to be together as lesbians, why is it one or both feels the need to dress, and in most respects, look like a man?
Because the union of a man and woman is natural? It is funny that they would seemingly imitate or approximate a heterosexual couple. Maybe that's the point of your question?

My oldest brother watches that all the time. I have always assumed that he's straight, but he's spent so long in Tennessee, that he could have changed.

In a way, yes. Staci answered "because some women feel masculine just as some men feel effeminate". OK, that's fine.
But why, if you're gay, attach yourself to a person of the same sex if at the same time that person is trying to look like a person of the opposite sex? Seems to me like that only defeats the purpose of being gay.

It's about the equipment in the closet, not about the closet door.

Capice?

Of course. Otoh, the 'closet door' can be just as important.
For instance: I'm a happily married heterosexual male. I love that Mrs. Reb values her beauty as a woman and does her utmost to please me. She understands that I expect her to look and dress like a woman, not a man. If for some odd (non-medical) reason she chose to cut off all her hair, get tattoos and started dressing like a man, I'm afraid she and I would in all probability come to a parting of the ways.
I wonder how many single heterosexual males who, when going out to bars, restaurants, etc., look longingly at women whose hair is decidely shorter than their own, or whose attire makes it impossible to determine their gender.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i've seen many many women pull of the very short hair frumpy look, some lesbian, some not, all lookers, all hotter than a $3 pistol

This part of the discussin reminds me of the Modern Family episode where Gloria kept Lily for hte day and brought her home with pierced ears. Cameron went nuts. Gloria didn't understand why he was upset and responds, "...but I got them BOTH pierced, not just the gay one."
