Gentry was one of the few reasons I subscribed to the Sunday Press Register. Hope his replacement fills his shoes, or I may be getting all of my news and sports from the 'net soon...

Gentry was really good. I got a Twitter account this year to follow sports and you would not believe the great info he provided day in and day out at practices. I hope someone will step up and fill his shoes on Twitter.

I used to email Gentry Estes when he worked for the Chattanooga Times Free Press complaining over lack of coverage of Alabama so I thought it ironic he should move to cover the Tide. I've enjoyed his articles and which him continued success in his journalistic career.

As someone who is going to college, I would not call it that. The major newspapers are the ones struggling, not the smaller ones.

It will never go away completely, but the print media-- the industry as a whole-- is in decline.
