It was already there, just earlier now...Let the bidding wars begin!
Let me encourage you ((plural) to watch Gunsmoke, Tales of Wells Fargo, Cheyenne, etc. instead of high school or college football, basketball, etc.The only thing that will put a stop to this insanity is a mass loss of viewers at all levels. By the time it actually happens (if it ever does) it will be far too late to fix it.
It passed where I am at over a year ago. Kids are moving across state lines and having tuition paid. Recruiting in high school has jumped to a new level. It was already there, just earlier now...![]()
The high schools have ruined a lot of middle school sports now. Maybe I'm not seeing it all, since mine are in catholic school, but it sure seems that way. Now we'll just blatantly have high school coming in to pay middle schoolers to come to their school......no reason to try and hide it anymore.Gonna get awfully expensive to field a competitive middle school or high school team. Money has changed hands at those levels in past years of course, but not overtly or in as large amounts as it will now, or at least not so far as I've been known.
