Was there ever any real Heisman talk for JT outside of the state of Georgia? I don’t remember any talking heads talking about him in that regard.

Intent is irrelevant. Says so right in the rule book. I agree that it sucks. The rule is horrible in its current form.

Not as bad as it’s original incarnation, where they could overturn the targeting call/ejection but the 15yd penalty would still stand regardless.

Bennett is not a bad QB, doesn't have the arm of Daniels, he just has to be a game manager at this point. Absolutely targeting on Monday. So far Auburn is hanging with UGA, that could change any moment. Bennett is outplaying Nix by a wide margin.
