Getting Love From USC

Yep. I'm thinking we will be 2, 3 or 4.

My guess is #4 behind Oklahoma, LSU, and Texas. I think we *should* be #2 given who we have beaten, but I doubt they leapfrog us over those two teams. The thing is we might have made a more strong statement had we not allowed 30 points after the half. Certainly doesn't take anything away from our victory...a win is a win...but I think if we had finished it 41-17 or so we would have made an ever bigger statement.

IMO, I think BAMA will end up around #3 or so...they just knocked off #3 and FL lost, Lswho only beat MissSt by 10 and let them hang around a bit. It doesn't matter, if BAMA keeps thrashing opponents like tonight, they will keep moving up. Good times, my friends, good times.:BigA:

I'm sorry but OU just does not deserve to get leapfroged. I do see Bama moving up to 2, 3, or even 4.
I never understand comments like this one. Why do they have to do something bad to "deserve" to be jumped? Shouldn't the voters just vote on actual results, and if they think OU has the best claim to #1 vote them #1, and if Bama (or anybody else) has the best claim to #1 vote them #1? Just because before anybody ever played a game, pollsters decided in a pre-season poll that OU would be better than Bama, that means that OU has to do something bad in order to get jumped? This is clearly how too many of the voters think, but it's complete nonsense.

I concur!!!

Alabama looks absolutely evil. NOthing fancy, just smashmouth running and defense with very timely pass plays mixed in...nasty, brutal old Bama football...nice to see them back...even if it lessens our chances.

I think they should be #1, but it will be hard for them to jump OU, even though this is a serious asskicking of a top 5 team.

I would probably vote them #1 based on performance, but OU has not done anything to deserve being leapfrogged...

either way, OU and Bama are clearly the best teams in the land at the moment

This was too good not to quote from a USC fan. :)

1. Oklahoma
2. LSU
3. UT
4. Mizzou
5. Alabama
6. USC
7. Notre Dame
8. Penn St
9. Ohio St
10. Michigan
I actullay like this ranking. The higher up we go, the bigger target we have on our back. #5 lets know we are serious, but may keep the target a little smaller. I would like to see us move to #2 after a severe thrashing of Auburn, and then #1 aftrer we win the SEC. ( I wonder if we'll play Ga. again?)

Alabama should leap frog over LSU -- they have played absolutely nobody...

** AU doesn't count b/c they are not a very organized football team"

They let MSU hang a ton of points on them @ their home field

Wherever we end up: I would hope we are ahead of LSU
