Got tickets to the UA-UF game! Things to do in Tuscaloosa?

Is the micro brewery still downtown? It was a cool place, but that was 15 yrs ago. And am I the only person that loves Taco Casa?
No... but now it's called Brown's Corner. It's still a restaurant/lounge, though.

I second the suggestion of Big Bad Wolves BBQ. It's right on the Strip, and you don't have to worry about trying to get downtown (Even though it's close by) or the middle of no-where (in relation to campus) like Dreamland is located.

If you are a fan of a good Bloody Mary, go into Egans across from The Houndstooth. If Bo is behind bar (and he is the mornings/afternoons of gamedays), he can make you a fantastic one.

I don't know about that one, Big. As awesome as the Quad is, the Grove is unreal. I couldn't believe it. As Ole Miss fans say, "We might lose the game, but we'll win the party." (Or something like that)
The grove is a compact, high-class version of the Quad...without the electricity.

The Quad on a big game day is exponentially better than the Grove. The Grove used to be better...but the Quad takes the top spot now. In reality it is apples and oranges...because the Grove is old school tailgating...the Quad is here and now and everyone out there tailgates like champions.

Thanks for the suggestions. Keep em coming if you have them. I'm down for anything, bbq, wings, whatever. I'm excited not just for the game but for the atmosphere. It's gonna be a great time.

Bamagirl, Phil's doesn't have great wings, but their buffalo fingers or chicken fingers are great. It has great atmosphere too.
I think this is simply a matter of preference. The wings there are smaller than at many places, but I think this makes them more crispy, rather than like chewing on a rubber ball. I don't like the wings at a lot of place because they are too big. As far as the atmosphere, Phil's is a great place to pregame, but so is anywhere on the Strip, for that matter. Anywhere in that area is gonna be packed and crazy, no doubt.

Definitely not the only one :) - I LOVE TACO CASA!

we have also eaten at that mexican rest. on the strip a few times - do not know the name of it though..

Oh and you may also want to check out Ramma Jammas - :) classic bama joint - hot dogs and hamburgers and all the bama stuff any gator needs to see :) on the southwest corner of stadium i believe (if i have my corners right)

I would arrive on Friday and get the food stuff over that night. Also the Bryant Museum will be much less congested. Saturday is all about the Gameday experience. Get to campus early (go to UA Gameday for parking info), take a shuttle to the Quad and just take it all in. I'm not a fan of the "new" Houndstooth, but they still have cool Bama decor. It's gonna be crazy. Should be impossible not to have a blast.

Just don't let the impending loss dampen your post-game attitude.

NN is in the gator section. I think the Gator band will sit in the lower rows of NN. Hopefully they will bring their whole band because you can barely hear the pep bands.

I would bring a rod and real and some worms and take a journey to the Sipsey Swamp, up hwy 171 to moores bridge and as you cross the river just stop and walk into the swamp and fish in any slough you come to for some fighting grindle, not too good to eat but really fun to catch. Watch out for the snakes, water moccasins are plentiful.
