Thank you for coming to Alabama, Greg. You fit right in with the other number 12's I have know--except that I never saw any of them out there leadng the blocking like you managed to do in the second quarter.

I know that often Gmac would say that he was the QB that was left when Tebow went to the Gators; as if he was an after-thought.....NO, Greg, you certainly are/were NOT. Look at what you did at BAMA, heck, a National Championship and all the records you possess. Like Coach Saban said, YOU are the BEST ambassador "EVER" to represent THE University of Alabama....Thank you for the memories and ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Everybody appreciates what a class act Greg is and how well he's represented Alabama. It's clear he has a great life ahead.

At the same time, I imagine Greg is equally grateful for Alabama football. He was surrounded by winners, and got tons of positive press over his career. He helped make Alabama a winning team, but at the same time Alabama opened the door for him to win on the grand stage.

Greg has given us with many memories of great play and class representation. I will remember many of them forever.

He is the kind of player that:

is equally excited when able to draw an offsides penalty in a critical situation as throwing a bomb for a touchdown.

spends the time to know his job and is only fearful of being unprepared.

cares more for his teammates than his own stats

simply does the right thing, the right way

GMac We appreciate everything youve contributed to The Capstone. You will be remembered as one of the greatest QBs to ever play at Bama. Your class and intelligence are ever present. Yall remember the SEC Championship last year where he tip-toed along the sideline for the first down??? The guy is a proven winner! ROLL TIDE ROLL

I kinda feel connected to him in a way since I saw him play in high school. My aunt/uncle also live close to his parents and know them so I got a chance to meet him during his RS year at Bama on a visit to Dallas. What I liked about him is he loved to hit the gym. He trained hard with the scout team players that year and that made a big impression with his teammates for being durabe. He also had a tight bond with his O-line which means alot to the guys that covered his 6. He will be a great rep for the Bama program for the rest of his life.

Yep, a huge THANK YOU for Greg McElroy's efforts while wearing a Crimson Jersey. He gave us some great memories, played hard for us, showed patience/class for his turn, and represented Bama's University very well. Gotta thank all of Bama's Seniors & Juniors who will be leaving Bama for all the great memories too, and hope they'll have success with whatever they do going forward.

THANKS to all the Bama players who won't be with us next season.............

I hope all our future QB's study Greg's entire stay here. Greg hovered at 3rd string for an extended time and it took some character and patience to get to headset status, when he had a true Freshman getting better reviews than him during Greg's 2nd fall practice. He must have a lot of confidence and faith that things will work out for those that do things right. Glad you stayed and it worked out better than anyone could have imagined.

I maintain that he is the best qb in Alabama history. We will miss his leadership, his class, and his performance. Roll Tide and good luck to GMac. I don;t know that he will be a coach, but he may be AD material in future years.

Just want to say a big "Roll Tide" not only to Gmac, but all the seniors and juniors leaving early for the draft. Being an Alabama football player is definitely not easy and you all take a lot of criticism, but i can honestly say everyone handled it with class and honor. You will always be part of a special fraternity.
You have set a standard for the future teams to follow. You've put Alabama football back where it belongs. Thank you for the sacrifice and ...Roll Tide!
