Many thanks to Greg for his years of hard work, study, devotion to his teammates, and repeated demonstrations of toughness on the field of play. He represents the university better than any QB in my memory, in terms of his well-roundedness, how well-spoken he is, and just his classiness in general. I do believe we made an Alabama Man out of that Texas boy!
Based on nothing more than the shot of Julio with his arm around Greg on the bench and the easy and relaxed banter between the two of them and Mark yesterday indicated to me that GM is a team guy and popular with his teammates. Good stuff.

I'll add my gratitude.

He lead us to what could be considered our most glorious year in Alabama football history. He was 24-3 as a starter. And you could not find a better representative for the university.

He'll be President McElory one of these days. Then He'll close au for good.

I can't add much more than what has already been said. Good luck in whatever direction life takes you. Look forward to seeing you run the
gameball in before a bama game in the near furture.

Greg has the combination of intelligence, leadership, skill and character that you don't often see at those levels. As a fan, I'm grateful to him for having committed to the Tide and for having been instrumental in fulfilling all our goals for The Championship. That's history and can never be taken away.
All the best in life young man...

You are an excellent leader, an excellent teammate, an excellent QB, an excellent ambassador for the University, and an excellent young man. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors! Some of my friends thought I was crazy when I was more excited that we got Greg than Tebow. Which maybe it still was but I still feel the same way.

Just seems to be an amazing young man on top of being a great BAMA quarterback. Thanks for being a leader of discipline and character to be a huge part of the process to restore Alabama to it's rightful place in college football. No go do your politics and run for president!

Greg McElroy has had a great career at Alabama. I grew up watching Zow, Watts, Croyle, Wilson and McElroy and I have to say McElroy is my favorite QB of all of them. I wish him the best of luck in the NFL.

Greg McElroy is a class act. He'll go down as one of my favorite QB's to ever play for Bama. Many thanks to Greg for all of his hard work, his toughness, tenacity, grit, and brains. We'll miss this guy and he always represented UA with class. I wish him all the best...I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Greg McElroy.

Thank you Greg. He will go down as a great one. The last bowl was fitting with his stats and the hard hit block. I will always remember that block.....

At the pep rally in Point Orlando on Thursday he thanked the fans & especially the band. He told them that he had listened to them practicing on those hot August days for five years, that he appreciated all of their hard work, and thanked them for what they had brought to his experiences at Alabama which he said were "the best five years of my life." It meant a lot to those band members. He is one of the good guys.
