Could Wingo accept a Bryant scholarship for the fall 2004, not play football, then sign with the 2005 class and participate in 2005 spring training?

In a word, yes. The Bryant Scholarship is not a football specific scholarship but rather a scholarship available to ex-athletes children who want to attend Alabama. However, at anytime that Jake decides to play football (which will be quickly) the Bryant Scholarship will count against our total of 85.

I think he would have to sit out this coming year and next year because alabama recruited him and is considered "recruited"
