Glad to be a part of your forum. As you can likely see I am a tide fan living in Pennsylvania. Many would assume I would be a Penn State fan but I bleed crimson, not blue! I’m looking forward to another great Alabama season and another run at a national championship. ROLL TIDE! :BigA:

Re: Hearts in Dixie

Welcome to the board. As many have shared on this board before, what's your story about how you became a Bama fan (assumingly) not having lived or grown up in our state?

Re: Hearts in Dixie

Actually I lived in Montgomery as a child for a year and a half as an Air Force baby but that didn't make me a Tide fan. I worked for almost a year in Tennessee with three brothers from Florence Alabama near the end of the Bears coaching career. I was an NFL fan at the time and cared nothing about the college game. After 9 months of their influence, a Bama fan was born! Besides the two national championships I have witnessed, my greatest memory was the 1989 game at Penn State that I was able to go see. I sat in the north end zone that day and listened to the place go silent after Thomas Rayam blocked the field goal to seal the win for Alabama 17-16. Recently, I was humbled and blessed to be able to go to Tuscaloosa for two weeks and help with the tornado relief efforts.

Re: Hearts in Dixie

Thanks for holding on to your roots in such a tangible and commendable way. We're all looking forward to this season and hopefully getting back to Atlanta and then the BCSCG. RTR.

Re: Hearts in Dixie

Thank you so much for your help with tornado relief. If you get to go to the game in Happy Valley I will be looking for the one crimson shirt in the middle of a bunch of white -- assuming you are not in the Alabama section.
