I agree with y'all cause how can you not be happy & pull for Marotti since he just won The Heisman..He's the type player & just all around nice, humble kid, that's worked hard & has busted his backside on & off the field representing what's good in college football..The only way I think Coop could have won it, he would've needed to be a kick returner as well, to have those Heisman type TD runs & run backs..And I have wanted Coach Saban to allow Coop to return kicks the last two years..Cause I think he would've had better run backs than Christion Jones & Cyrus Jones..And would have flipped the field returning kicks..

Having that kinda returner is a rare weapon we've had at Bama..I sure miss Javier Arenas cause he was a true weapon as a kick returner..I hope ArDarius Stewart gets a shot as our return man next year..I've seen him play in person a couple times against my old high school team when he was in high school..And Ardarius cans be the kinda return man Javy was..I've seen ArDarius return kicks in high school & he has that kinda magic Javy had returning kicks..I honestly think ArDarius can be one of the better kick returners in college football if he's given a shot of doing it..

I think He will. Saban is big on protecting his players as much as he can, but I would imgaine that job would be open for everyone and I wouldn't be suprised to see Tony Brown or Marlon Humphrey, Foster, Falkins, Stewart, Bo Scarbough to do that.

Coop will be a rich man this time next year. I wish he would stay, but he's a first round pick no doubt.
He's not coming back..............
Yep,he is a top 5 NFL pick right now. No need to risk injury without pay.
I know he'll be a senior and a first round pick but I'd still love to see him return for his senior year. I realize this flies in the face of the prospect of making money by leaving early for the NFL but I'm a traditionalist by nature and love seeing gifted players (like Amari) play their entire college career.

Good luck Amari whichever way you go!

Heisman Trophy Presentation was kind of anticlimactic.
Talking heads on TV and others suffering from 'Tide Fatigue' anointed Mariota as the next winner, back in September.
TV guys spent the entire season talking up Mariota.
Mariota put up gaudy numbers passing nearly every down against competition that would have been blown out in the SEC.
PLUS...
Oregon put together a pretty good PR team to push for Mariota to get the award.

I was as disappointed as anyone else in the Bama nation that Amari didn't get the Heisman. At the same time, the other two finalists are equally as deserving and only one person can receive it. Congrats to Mariota. He deserved as much as anyone. I'll be happy to see Amari play again in the playoffs, and I wish him the best of luck in whatever direction he decides to take next year.

These are three sharp young men. I think Amari should have won, but we knew it was a longshot. Congrats to Marcus on the win!

Wow....I can't believe Coop didn't at least finish 2nd. The South didn't even help him out. I guess Alabama fatigue is legitimate when you vote the Best SEC WR ever from your own region and conference 3rd. I hope every SEC school loses their Bowl Games except us of course. Such petty jealousy.

At least this year it's a guy by all accounts is a good guy off the field as well as being a fantastic player. Congrats to Mariota.
Was thinking the same thing. If there was ever an institution that needed an infusion o class it's the Heisman.

Not to say it doesn't have any classy members, but with the last two they threw the integrity aspect out the window, under a steamroller, and then nuked it.

Mad congrats to Cooooooooooop!!!

With Cooper's standard resting face, I kept imagine him thinking "Great...can I go back to practice now?" Had he won, that might have been his acceptance speech.
