I know a great number of you don't care for him, but I listen because the only other sports talk shows here are all about Giants, Yankees, and Red Sox. I listen because he talks CFB. Anyway, today he mentioned it with Todd Blackledge and then as he signed off he said " I'm telling you now, DON'T SLEEP ON ALABAMA AGAINST FLORIDA." I love the fact that 2 weeks before we're playing them, one of the people who watches a lot of college football and is a national voice is starting to see what we've all seen. This team is built to win Championships !!! IT'S GREAT TO BE BACKKKKKK!!!!!!. Now, let's put a whuppin on that bunch from west georgia!!! RTR !!!

That's odd, because all I've ever heard him say is how overrated Alabama is, and how we don't match up vs. the likes of Texas, T Tech, USC, etc.
I will admit, however, that I don't listen to him much.

It's NOT odd - Cowherd's shtick is very similar to Finebaum. You cannot take what he says at face value, because he doesn't believe half of it himself. He says what he says to generate an emotional reaction among the audience. To attempt to hold him to any standard of accuracy or consistency will only lead to frustration.

I happen to be a huge fan of Finebaum. I have listened to his show for about 10 years every chance I get. For the first 6 months, his comments would have me so worked up, I could bite nails in two. Many people are turned off by his antics, and quickly swear him off. However, if you can ever elevate yourself to see through Finebaum's ruse, there is entertainment and even substance to be found on occasion.

I love the F-baum show; and yes he is the king of stirring the pot. However, F-baum calls it likes he sees it and let's just face it over the last ten years there has not been a lot of good to say. He made fun of Fran and we got mad but was he right? He said Shula had no clue and we got mad but was he right? He said that Alabama was becoming a joke and a second-tier program and we got mad but was he right?

We cannot get mad at the messenger just because the message is not so good. Now having said that we must understand that it is entertainment and he is going to stir things up.

I enjoy F-baum when the aubs are struggling, because - as is his nature - he piles on.

Even then, sometimes I just get tired of his antics. I prefer Dunaway & Brown, but can only listen to them over the internet.

Funny, this post went from "...." to "Fbaum" in just a very few takes. .... is pretty irrelevant to the Bama nation and I dont think he will ever change that. He truly messed up and I gotta believe the Bama Nation is a market he would like to have.

I used to listen to him but his constantly bashing Bama and Coach Saban was just to much in the end. It was funny at first, then it was a little much, then it got old, then it just got blatant and personal on his part.

When the Barners fired OC Franklin I needed news that day and the only news was Fbaum. So I gave it a try and havent quit listening since. Been listening everyday and so far, I have to admit I like him. Its a good show.

I dont miss "...." one bit.....

You may not agree with Colin, but when he throws out an opinion, he backs it up with reasons why. You may think his reasons are dumb, but he at least attempts to back up his position.

He and those like him have come up with some doozies to try and discredit the SEC, the UT loss to UCLA was one he tried to lay his head on for weeks until it was a given that UT was quite awful, no matter who they played.

One that I find funny and yet hate the most is how he and others (like Gottlieb , who is a wanna be shock jock and even sucks at doing that, the bitter little thief) try and say the defenses in the SEC aren't good, its just the offenses in the SEC are terrible and we need more spreads brought it. Well 1. Auburn and Tennessee are trying the spread with poor results to say the least :biggrin:. 2. When we play out of conference our offenses suddenly look better and our defenses look...well better too. For instance, ask Texas Tech from 05 if our defenses are overrated when we shut down their 40-50pt offense to 10. Ask Ohio State how that struggling spread offense in 06 by Florida exploded on their elite defense, and then LSU just last year vs their number 1 D. Ask Hawaii of last year if Georgia's defense was overrated when they played in the Sugar bowl and that offense that nobody would ever be able to stop got embarrassed. Or in 06 when Charlie Weis' amazing offense led by Quinn got embarrassed by LSU. And these are just some big examples, I can certainly go on. But what ...... me off about it, is that these people are paid to give their opinion and they should know these examples way better than I do. Or even worse, they may know these examples yet ignore them so they can have some stupid argument against the SEC. But most of all look at our bowl records as a conference
