IMO, the Spurrier hire and the Holtz retirement might be enough for the Peach Bowl to invite the Cocks to Atlanta instead of Alabama. If UF, USC and Bama finish 6-5, they will get to choose from the group. With Holtz being one of the all-time winning coaches and having had an affiliation with ND, it might be too much for the Peach to pass over.
But, we are Alabama and that still have one of the greatest traditions ever!
Roll Tide!!!

Nope

The chairman of the Peach Bowl stated on TV Thursday that the bowl committee feels that since Bama has been on probation for the past two years that their fans are "hungry" for a bowl game. Thus, they feel that lots of Bama fans will travel to Atlanta to see the game.

It is widely known among bowl committees that Bama "travels well" meaning that lots of fans go to their bowl games and spend lots of money while they are there.

We can go to the Peach with 6 wins if Florida and USC also have 6 wins. Auburn to a BCS (maybe), Tennessee/Georgia to Citrus or Outback, LSU to Cotton. That leaves Bama, Florida, USC to either Peach, Music City, and Independence. A win guarantees a Peach bowl. A loss by Florida and USC puts in the Peach with a loss by Bama. If USC wins, they most likely go the Peach. Even if Florida wins with their coaching change, Bama could still get bid over Florida. We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't know, considering that 7th win would be over FSU.

I believe Bama gets the Peach invitation if USC & UF lose.
We just bring a bigger crowd. I would love to be going to Atlanta rather than the Music City bowl.

Im thinking if everyone finishes with 6 wins, it would be hard to pass up on USC because it would be Holtz's last game, and USC did beat Bama, which they will try and sell. Bama bring a hungry team, fans, and a national name to the game. Florida would bring quite a few fans and a possible matchup with Miami.
I love the Peach and would liketo spend new years in Atlanta, but I got a feeling that we will be Nashville bound. Maybe get Ohio State?
