My predictions for Saturday...USC vs. Minnesota will be closer than it should be. Boise State will beat UGA. Lets face it this is Boise only game this year and they will be fired up (I hope I am dead wrong) LSU will beat Oregon despite missing half their thugs…..I mean teammates. *uburn will struggle to beat Utah State but in the end will win by 20+. Alabama will blow-out Kent State (and I will have a blast at the game. My upset pick is Baylor over TCU.

I like LSU plus the points(now that Jefferson's out)
Georgia plus the points
Michigan minus
and Notre Dame minus
I also have a feeling that Ole Miss may upset BYU

I also like UGA and LSU, especially since we're not giving points on those. I just can't see OM doing much of anything this year unless they have players who REALLY step up. Nutt is a coach that thrives with low expectations, but he's also got a bare cupboard to deal with.

Like the OP, my upset pick is Baylor over TCU.

I agree with you on the first four predictions, but I'll be surprised if Ole Miss upsets anyone in 2011.
Interesting that exbama thinks au will struggle. I hope they do but don't think it's going to happen. I will make one early prediction, MSU over Au next week, and it won't be close. MSU is going to be tough to handle in2011.

I predict lots and lots of rain down here in the Florida panhandle. We have a HUGE tropical depression just to the south of Louisiana and it's due to move onto land here between tomorrow and Sunday as a tropical storm. I have DiecTV and the satelite reception doesn't do well with storm clouds to the south.

Bama wins by 38 -40 points. Barn struggles early with Utah St but pulls away by three TDs in the fourth qtr. Oregon beats LSU due to the suspensions. BYU throttles Ole Miss and I think Boise will be beat GA. I take no glee in these SEC loss predictions and I hope I'm wrong.

Don't know why you think it is interesting I think that, exbama doesn't mean what you think it does.
haha i remember this conversation from a few years back.

I will be pulling for LSU and Georgia both this week. Especially Georgia.

I thinking smu and A&M will be closer than most think.

I picked LSU before all the bar brawl stuff, and although I worry about team chemistry, I'll stick with that pick. I just do not believe the Oregon offense can move up and down the field on an elite SEC defense. We'll see.

LSU - 24
Oregon - 17

Really concerned about Georgia. It would not surprise me at all if they lose. I'll give them a slight edge since the game is in Atlanta.

Georgia - 28
Boise State - 27

Auburn will definitely struggle early on against Utah State. They've did last year against in their opener. But, they'll pull away late with some big plays, and it won't be much of an indicator of their potential this season, but it'll be touted as such on the radio next week.

Auburn - 42
Utah State - 21

Alabama wins in an expected rout.

Alabama - 45
Kent State - 6

Notre Dame struggles

Notre Dame - 24
South Florida - 21

Ole Miss loses the first of many games this year.

Ole Miss - 29
BYU - 35

State truly did look good last night although Memphis looked more like my beloved Ocean Springs Greyhounds than a major college football team...lol

We will win by however much CNS lets them put on his alma mater.
UGA will lose to BSU and we'll have to hear from them all year as they dispatch the New Mexico School of Cosmetology and whine about "deserving" a shot at the BCS, which they won't. UGA will have enough penalty yards to lose two games.
LSU's defense will probably get them a victory, but this game could be as ugly and boring as the last time Oregon took the field and I wouldn't bet on it either way with your money.
Barn will run it up late on hapless Utah State
VU will talk about its bowl chances this year after beating Elon (who was he?)
I don't know if Mississippi can win or not. They seem pretty weak to me, but I know less about BYU's football team than about Brigham Young himself.
