Question: How much longer will Freeze be the head coach at Aubarn?

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Starter, team captain, and presumably team leader dismissed for, "not meeting expectations and standards."

How barn is that?
If I was a reporter during CHF's next meeting with the media I would ask, "Coach, you mentioned that one of your player's and leader's is no longer with the team due to not meeting the standards of the program. Do you feel as if you and this coaching staff have been meeting the standards?"

Said reporter would be invited to never step inside Lee county again. 🤣

Can't believe how much of my life I have wasted reading these flippin barn threads.
Melty Goodness is one of the major food groups.

enlighten me where I can find these threads. I've got some time to waste away...
I lurk on the AU Family board from time to time. Lots of threads about their captain leaving/getting kicked off the team and many threads about dumping Huge Sleaze. Lots of fun, empty calories to consume.

Kinda like drinking a Mich Ultra. Great fermented workout beverage...

Ah yes, the Google.. lol.

I meant specific boards, guess I should be more clear.
There's a couple of links upthread to an Auburn site.

FWIW, I looked up the one after the Bama/FSU debacle (and the Barn's opening weekend win) and they were pretty full of themselves, rejoicing in our loss and questioning CKD's future. My, how the tables have turned!

Morally inappropriate deeds are résumé enhancers at the barn — they get you hired, not fired.
Their likely interim HC would be a guy who has already lost a job over the death of a kid and "toxic culture." Some on AU Family are wondering if he is the permanent solution. I guess once you've sold your soul, you don't miss it much.....

The part that has me curious is if this is going to finish up like Chizik's last season. I remember that Iron Bowl well; we could have scored a hundred on them. Freeze might be able to salvage something, but if they lose to Missou, I've got a feeling the avalanche begins in earnest. Credit where credit's due, they have one HELL of a defense, but if they just stop playing knowing it won't matter, it could get really, really ugly.

A broken spirit can't be fixed mid-season and this isn't like the old days where the kids played for pride or for the university. (Rivalry games just don't mean as much as they used to.) When major college football has become a farm system for the NFL, most of these kids are utterly perplexed by the notion of loyalty.
