I see you (Auburn) hiding in the weeds. Thoughts on Iron Bowl 2023

I watched the NMSU game. Auburn had no life, no fight, no intensity. I think they're "done" for this season. If we go out and get a couple of scores early they'll throw in the towel. This IB could get really ugly.

Good grief how pathetic to hang on to a play from TEN years ago.

They won the SEC Championship that year and played for the NC.

But it’s THAT play that they want to immortalize.

I guess in 2027 we should do the same thing for 2nd and 26 since it was a walk off play for a NC.

🤣

let's be honest, If the kick six hadn't happened they would be celebrating the 15th anniversary of the "camback" before the 2025 iron bowl. This is what they do.

Don’t think they won’t do that anyway… lol

I remember still seeing “Punt Bama Punt” stickers on people’s cars WELL into the 80’s.

They celebrate Catchphrase plays from past IB’s like we celebrate actual accomplishments like Championships.

Different priorities I guess.

I just found out today that auburn only lost to New Mexico State (31-10) because of the refs.
They are really upset about the "fumble" that wasn't.

I was watching when it happened when the NMS running back hit a wall and I clearly heard the side judge's whistle to indicate his forward progress had been stopped. Knowing the play was over, I then looked down at my computer (was on Tidefans obviously) and then when I look back up at the TV the alleged "fumble" occurred.

It was so clearly and decisively AFTER the whistle that the only people who thought it was a "fumble" were the desperate Barners.

I've attended six (maybe seven?) Iron Bowls at JHS since 1989 and we've lost all of them.

We were favored in most of them and leading at halftime in most of them.

I'll be darned if I ever fail to take AU seriously on their home field. That place is a blight on the face of the earth and poison for us.

And no, I'm not going to this one. My friends won't let me.
We need to send your friends thank you cards. Roll Tide!

Yeah, I'll bet Stan White was really whining up a storm about that...
