Question: If Minnesota makes a Run at Grant how does Bama respond?

Then maybe you can help CAG out and get him some good players! I've got his email address if you want to shoot him some advice! There are those that must think he is a "greenhorn" when it come to the recruiting game and that he probably doesn't watch tape, have connections, etc...... I find it extremely interesting.

Not everyone and everything is crooked. You can recruit good players and shooters clean.

I'm not saying everyone is crooked, but it's also a known fact that Ben Howland was fired b/c he could no longer recruit LA basketball players. The reason he couldn't recruit them is b/c he ticked the AAU coaches off by lying to a committed player and pulling his scholly at the last minute. AAU coaches have a lot of influence. It's a really good thing that Bama has a great track record with the Alabama Challenge.

A "pure shooter" is someone that can shoot well, but does little else.

That is so far from the truth... The top three 3 pt shooters in NCAA history, who shot over 40% while jacking up three's, are JJ Reddick, Chris Lofton, and Steph Curry...

Reddick had a great drive and penetrate game in college, and has become a good defender in the NBA (unlike an Adam Morrison). We all saw Chris Lofton up close for years, and he was much more then a shooter who was a liability everywhere else. Do I have to EVEN mention how great of a player Curry was/is?

As for Marshal Henderson being a "pure shooter", he shot 38% from the field this year and 35% from 3 pt land... He shot an absurd number to even average the amount of points he did. Releford, who is making no one's shooter list, shot 47.6% from the field and over 40% from 3... and Lacey, who was turning in to a lot of people's scapegoat shot 40% from the field and 37% on 3's. Both had better numbers...had either taken on average of 15+ shots a game, they would get blasted! SO be careful what you're asking for....

Did I say anything about him not getting any good players? I don't know why you think I said he has been doing bad a recruiting, I was defending him and only thing he has not gotten is a pure shooter. You don't have to be facetious with all your replies.

Unfortunately, that's not really true. When you have to deal with AAU, it's pretty much crooked, top to bottom. Even if you're a Calipari, you don't get to the FF without buying off AAU agents. (Wait! Hasn't he had every FF appearance vacated except the last one - and that hasn't even had time to be reviewed yet...)

Yea he has quite the track record.

When I think "pure shooter", I think of the exact opposite of T.R. Dunn.

A team is better off with a basketball player that can't shoot than a shooter that can't play basketball...you can learn how to shoot better...it's a lot easier.

Which sums up Tee pretty well. He became close to automatic from the corner.
