I'm leaving soon for Basic...

It's now official! I've made it. My screen name is appropriate. I graduated from OCS today. We were blessed to have none other than Gen. Petraus as our guest speaker. I got my picture taken with him. I hope to post it as soon as I can track it down.

BamaBrass, when you get to Ft. Lwood, you'll want to make that short drive over to Whiteman Air Force Base and check out the B-2s. Awesome, mega awesome! Husband is USNRet, air traffic controller, aviation warfare, and for a short time, we were in Jefferson City, Missouri. Occasionally we would be in a flight pattern for the B2s, and there is nothing quite like stepping out your front door and seeing the B2 cast a shadow on the ground in front of you....anywhere else in the world and you'd wanna be digging a hole if you saw that!

Thank you for your sacrifice and service to our country. Take care, Roll Tide!

I was in the Marine Corps so I came up with BaMarine. That gets Bama And Marine together so how about BamArmyof1. Thanks for your service to our great nation. God Speed.

Congrats. What branch did you get?

No suggestion for a name offhand, just wanted to say best of luck. My brother is a 1st LT and a graduate of airborne school. Godspeed and Roll Tide!!!!!

Let me clear up a few things. Way back in April or May, I had the screen name of Pummel Fulmer. Well, that screen name had become obsolete. I was getting ready to goto Basic, knowing that I was going to OCS right afterwards. I needed a new screen name. I knew that I would not be able to post here while in basic so I needed a name that would fit me me once I was able to get back on this site. The screen name BamaBrass was selected well before I EARNED it. I knew then that I had to live up to the name. I earned it yesterday!

I will be reporting to Ft. Leonardwood, MO on November 30, 2009. I am branched Chemical Corps. I have been fortunate enough to watch every BAMA game this season. It's been either on a real TV or on the internet. Tomorrow, I will be traveling to Anniston, AL for my cousin's ( an UA alum) wedding. I may miss the UTC game but I really don't think I have much to worry about. :)
