I read an interesting article in the New York times today discussing how Ingram apparently wants no part of the Heisman, doesn't want the attention right now in his career. His father is about to be sentenced and I think he just wants to be part of a team right now more than an individual that sticks out of that team. He doesn't even believe he's the best player on our team.
He is a super kid and represents us so well. His grandfather is happy that Bama is not pushing a campaign, and they feel the same way. "That's not who we are".
Good luck anyway, he may not have a say in the mater. All the talk of Bama not ever having a Heisman may play in his favor as a lot of people probably scratch their head on that one.
I didn't even realize the Heisman was northern biased until the Manning deal, then I looked back at the winners. If you were southern, you had better be leaps and bounds ahead of the rest.
