What we need is a leader with the gumption to admit he has royally screwed up the stability of the middle east, and try to recruit help from other countries who have an interest in seeing Iraq a peaceful, stable country.

What we really need are Americans who look past our current circumstances and build a vision for our continued success in a changing world. When the people demand change, they will see it. Until then, it will be business as usual in DC...

Sad but true. The vast majority of the electorate bases their vote on "what's in it for me". Promise a tax cut (generally the republican way), they eat it up. Promise a new spending program (generally the democratic way), they cant wait to get part. The politicians realize it and pander to it.
