Not after the next polls come out...
This looks like it could be the worst week for the SEC West I can recall. In terms of the Miss. St. loss, it's difficult to explain how much that hurts statistically, but losing to a really low ranked team hurts way more than beating a top ranked team helps. If you have a week in which almost every SEC West team loses, the polls and the pundits will both come down harshly on them and justifiably so. Who has looked good so far?
Having said that, I've always hated that the SEC undercuts itself with the signing limit. They are the only conference with that particular rule and you do have to wonder at what point the price is to be paid for what is in essence putting the entire conference under sanctions. That's not why the SEC looked like it did today, but it darn sure doesn't help.
