Give me an example because guys with history will get drafted in first round. It depends on how desperate the team are.Sometimes failure in the draft is as simple as...
When it's not your time. IT'S NOT YOUR TIME.
NFL teams look for guys they think will fit well in their program.
Guys with a HISTORY, may be passed over.
I tried to find out his Major at Alabama but all I got was an AI result that said “Physical Culture and Sports”.What was his major?
He may need to fall back on whatever that was after he gets his degree, of course. Also assuming he doesn't go to the State Pen...

Cheeky
As someone said, players don't stay long enough to get to know them (build a relationship) so I guess good riddance isn't ugly or classless like it used to be, so I say, "cry me a river."I’m not sorry this makes me happy. Roll Tide.

I mean, the same could be said about pretty much any college degree these days…So what exactly does that major "prepare" you for on a secular level?

It would be insincere to think that any major college isn't "enrolling" their student athletes of major programs (specifically football and basketball) in "lets get him something/anything degrees" these days. These guys aren't coming to school to learn, they are coming to play sports. It has been going on for years but it has ramped up even more over the last few years. This major is about providing an easy way for student athletes to be enrolled, and not about anything else.

I was talking with a coordinator from a national championship program a few years ago when George Pickens was being recruited. He said to me, "If that guy is eligible next year I can 100% tell you something was done that is illegal. I have looked at his grades and test scores with a fine tooth comb trying to get him eligible and it isn't happening." He told me they wanted Pickens badly but weren't able to get him through admissions and were forced to stop recruiting him. I've also seen the behind the scene's on how some schools find unique ways to get guys enrolled. It is rather eye opening when you peel back the covers and see things from the other side...
