It's Opening Day!!

Houston is off to a weird start. 2-5, and Hader has taken two losses. In their two wins they scored 17 runs and gave up one hit. Probably should spread that out a little.

I saw the other day where you had a young guy throw a No-No that was the earliest in a season in MLB history.

What is his story.... is he a Rookie or a younger guy you guys called up? I didn't recognize his name.

Another nice win today! What’s up with no Braves game threads this season??

yeah, it is usually me or a couple of other posters that start them. I have had a few personal issues and it hasn't really been on my mind plus Bama in the Final 4. I might start on for tomorrow's series start. You could always start one.

Im more busy lately, and without Selma… you know I’ve kinda just stopped really thinking much about the site as I used to. So it’s kinda like acknowledging an empty seat at the thanksgiving table kinda feel without him for me.

But if you want to do it then go ahead.

Yeah, I figured that was part of it.

I can't even watch the Braves this year thanks to Bally and the Braves screwed up streaming rights. My sister cancel her cable service late last year and I was using her login to validate the Bally app. The only 2 streaming services that offer the Bally channels are around $100 a month and I ain't pay that much just to watch the Braves. Bally's own streaming service doesn't include Braves games.

It sucks tat MLB can't join the modern era and find a reasonable streaming solution for fans to watch games without blackout restrictions. I have found a mlb webcast site (hint, hint) but I can't figure out a convenient way to display it on my TV and, I don't want to watch on my laptop, iPhone or iPad all the time.

I did see the Friday night comeback while watching MLB Big Inning on Apple TV+. Otherwise I wait and watch the highlights posted on YouTube. This is the first time in my lifetime I have not had access to a channel that shows the Braves. I miss the old TBS days.

Same for missing the TBS days.

I haven't been able to find a reliable and affordable way to watch the Braves regular season in years now.

I basically have to follow live on my phone with gamecast and then flip to reddit to see highlights as they are posted.... or wait until the game is over and then watch the condensed highlights on MLB's Youtube page.

The Playoffs are the only time I can actually catch full games anymore.

started a game thread for the mets series

I became a Braves fan because of TBS. Bally and their sorry owners are greedy pieces of garbage. They asked for entirely too much money and every streaming service dropped them. Fubo is the only current one to have Bally. At $80 a month. it is not worth it just for Braves games.

I wish there was also some kind of On-Demand service to watch Classic Games too.

It is shockingly difficult to find good Highlights of Maddux even if you know exactly what you are looking for when you search.

It's kind of crazy.

You can find stuff of Clemens, Pedro, Randy etc easily by just putting their name in.

But anyway I was on a 90's Braves nostalgia trip recently and it's still mindblowing to see the Movement on Greg's Pitches.

I mean they had just devastating movement. Stuff that starts ridiculously off the plate and just snaps across the zone at the last millisecond locking guys knees up and they get ringed looking.

Man I miss watching him pitch full games.

Ronel Blanco. He's 30 years old, another one of the Astros Dominican finds. He pitched some middle relief the past couple of years. He pitched 6 more shutout innings yesterday.

He's the bright spot so far - Hader and Pressley are horrible, Valdez is a scratch today, and the rest of the starters are just bad. Verlander, Garcia, and McCullers need to get back soon.

So you know, the Dodgers suck.

That is all.

I still like the Dodgers
