Apparently had a pretty big surgery today. I hope he is ok and has full neurological function and can move on to full life after football.

Two things you hate hearing mentioned together - neck injury and any kind of surgery, particularly one that lasts four hours.

This was a very significant injury. If I had to guess most likely some type of unstable neck fracture. Type and location are the key things. Good news is movement in his extremities.

The young man is very fortunate.i hate it for him because he has had one injury after the next.throughout his career.
