I read on another site that Courtney Upshaw has emerged as a leading cadidate for the starting spot. With his quickness and athleticism, I believe he could make an impact there this season.

I read that on another board as well. A Crimson Confidential article from yesterday also alluded to this development. Also of interest in the article is that it appears Mark Barron is also "figuring it out" and pushing for a possible starting role.

Both of these developments excite me, as I'm a fan of keeping the McClain-Hightower duo together on the inside, and have been impatient to see Barron's athleticism in action on the field. If these two are able to put it all together, our defense skyrockets even higher into the stratosphere from an athleticism standpoint. :biggrin:

That is wonderful news indeed. MB has always been one of my favorite recruits. I'm looking forward to CU helping out the pass rush as well.
