Jalston Fowler?

I was happy to see Lacy and Goode get some carries, but I kept thinking, if we can get Buck and Pennington (which was good even if it did cost us 6 points) into this game , surely Fowler is going to get a few carries. I was really hoping for it.

Right after Lacy almost broke the second long one I swear it looked like Saban said "get Lacy outta there he's gonna ;;;; around and score another touchdown". As for Fowler I get the impression Saban doesn't want to use him as ball carrier. I'm probably wrong about that though.

That tried him at LB but moved him back to RB. I think CNS will keep him there as a bruiser esp. on short yardage situations.

those were also my thoughts. i sure hate to waste his talents though because whether he plays RB or LB he's got a ton of talent ahead of him. maybe he can get an Hback spot next season

I just assumed he was playing Goode first because he was an upperclassmen and probably wont get a chance to play in a bowl game like that again. Lacy needed to prove himself without fumbling, which he did. If Fowler would have been put in he might have hurt a few more MSU players. He's the biggest bruiser of the three. I read nothing into it much. All three of those guys are capable runners but Goode deserved the PT. Fowler has a bright future of busting heads though either on D or O.

This was my thinking as well. I think we will see a lot of Fowler next year.

I was hoping to see Rob Ezell again... This kid isn't your typical UA football player, but you have to admit, the kid is an athlete and he's funny as Sh*t... If you don't know him, look him and his CNS impression up on youtube... hilarious...

Those who say he'd make a good fullback or H-back in the mold of Preston Dial are seriously underestimating the kid's running ability. The kid is more Leron McClain than Preston Dial, IMO (not saying he is Leron's equal...). He just happens to be about the same size as Dial, except shorter.

I watched Jalston play a couple times in Mobile and he was clearly the best player on the field. He's got great hands. If given a chance he will rise to the top of the starting rotation. I really hope he gets a true shot at rb.
