The NFL is in bed with DraftKings. Pretending that they care about integrity in this area is laughable. But I don't feel sorry for idiot millionaires who can't follow simple rules
But let’s face it, none of these guys are being paid millions of dollars because of their ability to play chess or scrabble. I’m guessing it wasn’t about making money. I’m guessing it was boredom. And either a misunderstanding of the rules, or thinking they wouldn’t get caught.

The NFL: "Gambling is wrong and anyone that does it is suspended until we say so.

Also the NFL: "Every NFL team must submit and injury report or we will penalize that team."

The more gambling the more viewers. The more viewers the more ad money. The NFL has been dating gambling for decades and now they are married to it. They encourage everyone to gamble except their players. Sound hypocritical? Yep

Regardless of whether you agree with the rule or not, it maybe too stringent in some people's opinion, it is a rule set by the NFL. The NFL goes to great lengths, having meetings with these players, especially the rookies, on what they can and cannot do. He absolutely knew the rule and if he didn't or was confused it wasn't bc he was not informed. I hate it for him, but either way this is on him. At least publicly, he is taking responsibility (he really doesn't have a choice). Take the punishment and move. Calvin Ridley has done it and based on his comments he is better on the other side.
