I believe you can say you're entering the portal but have to wait so he's putting it out there

My understanding is any player entering after the April 30th deadline will need to receive a waiver (I assume from the NCAA) for immediate eligibility. Otherwise the player is required to sit out a year.

Given the NCAA’s past history on waivers, I would expect Burroughs to get one. They pass out waivers these days like people pass out candy on Halloween.

I think we need 3 more to enter the portal to get to 85. Too bad he has issues. He was going to be pretty good as a pass rusher this year. I guess the freshman James Smith will get lots of playing time now. Hope Jamil straighten's things out and grows up.... at a school Bama does not play. He should have to sit out a year though.

I hope the NCAA will deny the waiver. They need to get this under control, so why not start now. This is certainly not a hardship situation.

The fact that you can get kicked off your team and transfer right away and there are zero consequences is the real issue…why should these kids care?
They’ll be treated like kings somewhere else…
