Jeremy Brown Goes Yard in the Cactus League

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

I talked with Jeremy's dad a few minutes ago and he told me Jeremy got to play 3 innings today. The highlight was a game winning, two run BOMB. I think he can play with the big boys.

Cactus celebrities: The best and brightest from Wednesday's 8-6 Oakland win over the Brewers: Jeremy Brown hit a game-winning two-run homer to left field to put the A's up to stay in the tenth. ... Joe Valentine pitched a perfect tenth for the save. ... Bobby Crosby had a walk and a RBI-sacrifice fly. ... Billy McMillon scored two runs, had an RBI and went 1-for-2

Jeremy Brown hit a two-run homer to left field to break a 6-6 tie in the top of the 10th to win the game for Oakland. It was the first career hit for Brown, a sandwich pick in last June's First Year Player Draft.

``I love it,'' manager Ken Macha said. ``You bring young kids to camp to see what they can do. For him (JB)and Bobby Crosby, as far as young guys go, those two are the highlight of camp.''
