1 - JM indicated that SoCal was a long way from home .
2 - He always wanted to play for CNS .
3 - LSU is his state school but since CNS arrived , has anyone read or heard any statements from JM that would lead you to believe he is heading to lsu ?

So , Bama or lsu ?

Every passing day that JM is not public to lsu is great news for the Tide .
JOMO but , if he doesn't announce a decision to play for lsu by Monday , I feel very good about our chances .

The guy is coming to visit I could almost bet on that. He expressed interested toward the staff shortly after the Saban hire. Whether he commits or not is anyone's guess.

You may be right, but JM has always maintained that he would not announce until signing day. JM is the kind of player that doesn't "commit", he just signs. Now I will say this-If Joe announces on Monday that he will take a visit to Bama next week, you should feel very good. He said he would decide after this weekend whether he would take anymore visits or not.

Another thought to ponder is that until CNS popped up , JM "knew" where he was going (IMO-lsu) . To me the biggest question now is , why would he string out his home school or his "idol coach" ? The "pressure" is in Louisiana , not T-Town . If I were CLM , I'd be sweating bullets . Especially after the LD fiasco . JOMO .

I wish it were true that delay meant good signs for us, but to my understanding he will be announcing his decision live on ESPN at 10 AM on NSD, so I wouldnt expect to hear anything till then.

The school that he chooses should know ahead of time . IMO if he picks lsu , CLM would leak it immediately because of the embarrassing situation with LD . If it is lsu , why wouldn't he tell CLM this weekend so as to eliminate the pressure ?

That's why I feel that if there aren't at least any public pro-lsu rumblings come Monday , we look very , very good . Again , JOMO .

Maybe Soldier has rubbed off on me . I've never been a "sunshine pumper" .

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Just make sure you pick the right battles :).

Why I've chosen this battle , I'll never know . It reminds me of one of my favorite sayings - It is better to have tasted both victory and defeat , than to have never tasted at all .

That would be huge for our chances if he announces but he may just keep it to himself for obvious reasons. I would be willing to wager a six pack though that a guy named Saban lures him at least for a visit. And no Earle hasn't leaked anything to me yet just a hunch.:biggrin2:

Which Coach can make you a more disciplined player and a better person? LM or NS

Well unlike CLM , I've yet to hear CNS toss out 4-letter bombs on national tv when trailing to start the 3rd quarter . Who knows ?

Hey, you could certainly be right. I'll say it again. JM expressed interest within 48 hours of the Saban hire. This could be lost all together if he doesn't come but much like the Saban ordeal, HE initiated contact. Also, JM is not an LSU fan, so that has no bearing. So, you have to ask, what is the deciding factor? At this point, a lot would tell you that LOCAL PRESSURE will be the catalyst to him choosing LSU. If he really wants to win a NC, he will go to USC or Bama!

FACT: Louisiana students are not locked in to LSU. In fact, out of all the places I've lived (19 years in Louisiana  ), Louisiana has the least affiliation with the state school. Top players at my school, which won NUMEROUS state titles year after year, were often going out of state. HOWEVER, when Saban was at LSU, more students were going to LSU.

Alabama was in the mix with a lot of these guys the whole time. This whole persona LSU seems to have that all Louisiana players are LSU fans is farce. In fact, Northern Louisiana prospect would probably rather play at Texas than LSU. Notably, Chase Pittman.

I digress, but it is very likely Joe comes to T-Town no matter what the internet says :)

Also, I was going to make the point that Louisiana prospects look at LSU under Miles in a guarded manner.

For some strange reason, I get the impression that McNight is very strong of character, & that pressure, real or imagined, will not sway him, & could cause him to go in the opposite direction. I think he knows what each Coach/school has to offer, & will make his decision based on what is best for him, & will not necessarily be influenced by "pressure".

Four letter word's? Since when is a** a four letter word? I believe I do recall many Bama fans on this very forum who praised CLM for that little outburst and wished that CMS would show the same emotion on the sideline:)

If you can read lips then CMS did use that emotion on the sidelines. Just VERY rarely. He used four letter words too. Especially at LSU in 2004. :)

FACT:
Chase Pittman- LSU grad.

Louisiana kids- LSU football is king as evidenced by 99% of kids staying in state once the Tigers send an invite. Why do you think Saban chose LSU in the first place?

LSU fans may have looked at Miles in a guarded manner, but that changed the day NS accepted the job at Bama.

Just for my education: Name me 3 impact players from the state of Louisiana that have starred for the Tide in the last 20 years?
